Dusting
Remove contents of the basket.
Use a soft-bristle brush or vacuum with brush attachment to remove dust particles and loose dirt from the wicker weave. Regular dustings are important.
Wipe with a dry or lightly damp, soft cloth to lift any remaining debris.
Let damp areas air dry completely in a well-ventilated, dry area to avoid mildew growth. Outside works great, too.
Deep Clean
Mix a solution of mild dish soap and warm water, or mix up this simple natural vinegar solution. The best way to do this is to spray or dip the clean microfiber cloth (or soft bristle brush) in the soapy water and gently scrub the wicker. Make sure to work in small sections.
Avoid over saturating. Use as little water as possible.
Now, rinse cloth in clean water and wipe off excess soap.
Pat dry with a dry towel.
Allow to air dry in a well-ventilated are or outside in the sun or a dry, breezy area for excess moisture.
Removing Mold or Mildew
Mix equal parts white vinegar and water in a spray bottle.
Lightly mist affected areas and let sit for 10–15 minutes.
Scrub gently with a toothbrush.
Wipe clean with a damp cloth.
Let dry completely in a warm, dry place.
