Prep Time 10 minutes
Total Time 10 minutes
Servings 1 paper chain

Equipment

  • Construction paper
  • scissors
  • ScissorsStapler, Glue stick, sticky tape, or a hot glue gun
  • Markers or stickers for decorating optional

Instructions

  • 1. Cut Your Strips
Start by cutting each strip of paper to the same width. I did about 1 inch strips. You can use a folded edge to help guide your scissors if you want them perfectly straight, but honestly, kids won’t mind uneven lines.
  • 2. Form the First Loop
Take one paper strip and curl it into a circle. Secure the ends using stapler, glue stick, sticky tape, or a quick dab from your hot glue gun. This becomes your starter loop.
  • 3. Add the Next Chain
Take the ends of the second strip, loop it through the first circle, and secure it the same way. Continue this process until your chain is as long as you want.
  • 4. Display Your Paper Garland
Hang your paper garland on your banister, across the mantel, or drape it on your christmas tree as a sweet christmas decoration. These little loops add so much charm to your holiday decorations without any extra effort.
