On Wisdom, Gray Hair, + Other Musings
Hi friend, hope you’re doing well this week!
This week has been a good one. Nothing particularly exciting, just enjoying the little things and settling into our days. I’ve been thinking a lot lately about wisdom, especially what it means to continue growing in wisdom as a wife and mother. There are so many decisions we make for our families that can feel countercultural as Believers, and sometimes choosing what we believe is Godly, good and right over what everyone else is doing can be hard.
One verse I always come back to in our homeschool is Galatians 6:9: “And let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up.” I think I need that reminder just as much in motherhood and homemaking. So much of this work is ordinary and repetitive, and we don’t always get to see the fruit of it right away. But there is something beautiful about faithfully continuing to do the good work God has put in front of us. Persevere, dear friends! (and read good books to your kids!)
And speaking of wisdom (maybe just finally accepting that I’m getting older), I’ve decided to stop fighting my gray hair and let it grow out naturally. I’m not going to pretend I’m completely comfortable with it yet. The grow-out stage has been a little rough, but I’ve been trying a few things to make the transition easier. So apparently this season is about embracing the little things, growing in wisdom…and growing out my grays. 🤎

Around the Cozy Home
Simple finds or things I have loved around my home.
- So far I have been using this to help with my hair growth. It’s not permanent, so it will help it not looks so crazy while keeping the natural growth. It smells so good and works so well.
- This is my go-to gift for a baby girl gift. Well, this and diapers 🙂
- I’m not sure these are for me, but wow! They are pretty for a porch and they wouldn’t fry like my real ones do every year!haha
Have a great week!
