Pumpkin Pie, Hot Coffee + October
Hi friend, hope you’re doing well this week!
I got a little bit of a late start on all my September apple things this year. Honestly, September just didn’t feel like September when it was still so hot outside! But I finally made a big batch of homemade applesauce this week, and I’m planning an apple pie for next week…and then I suppose we’ll immediately move on to pumpkin because somehow it’s already October.
And speaking of pumpkin, I’m going to make my favorite pumpkin pie recipe. I make this one every single year, and it’s just so good, especially with a hot cup of coffee. There are certain recipes that start to feel like little markers of the season, and this is definitely one of those for me.
I hope sometime this month you get the chance to make a pumpkin pie, pour yourself a hot cup of coffee, pick up a good book, and enjoy it all for a little while. Sometimes the simplest things really are the best parts of a season.
