Decision Fatigue + Dinner Ideas
Hi friend, hope you’re doing well this week!
We’re a few weeks into our homeschool year now, and I feel like we’re finally working out the little kinks and settling into our new rhythm. One thing I realized pretty quickly, though, is that I am just tired of figuring out dinner. Every. Single. Day. It’s such a small thing, but somehow it takes up so much brain space.
So I finally sat down and made myself a set of meal planning cards filled with dinners we actually make. I realized we’re really just eating most of the same meals all the time anyway, so I chose 5 different meals for just about every day of the week.
Now I can flip through the cards, quickly choose our meals, make my grocery list, and be done. No more scrolling Pinterest for dinner ideas or starting from scratch every Sunday.
I loved how much easier it made things, so I turned it into a printable set too. The set comes with my pre-filled meal cards plus an editable version so you can fill them with the meals your own family already loves.
And apparently I’ve decided it’s fall whether the weather agrees or not. The Crock-Pot is back out, cozy meals are on repeat, and I’m very ready for soups, breads, and slow-cooked dinners. We’re doing school, finding our rhythm, eating good food, and enjoying home…. and I’m feeling pretty content with these ordinary days.
