- Over-ripe bananas
- Butter: I use unsalted butter for this recipe.
- Eggs
- Flour: I used all purpose flour.
- Sugar: Substitute with applesauce or maple syrup if you would like
- Brown Sugar
- Vanilla Extract
- Cinnamon
- Baking Soda
- Baking Powder
- Salt
How To Make this One Bowl Banana Bread
- Preheat oven to 350 degree. Grease a 9×5 loaf pan with butter.
- Mash bananas in large bowl until they are smooth.
- Melt butter and add to bananas with a wooden spoon.
- Add sugar, brown sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract, and mix well.
- Add flour, baking soda, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt to the large bowl. Mix dry ingredients lightly together before mixing all together with the wet ingredients.
- Add to the loaf pan, and sprinkle with sugar. Immediately bake.
- Bake for 55-60 minutes. Test bread to make sure that its baked all the way through. A skewer or a butter knife work great and will come out clean if it is baked through. Do not overbake or it will be dry.

Banana and Chocolate Chip Bread
You can change up this banana bread recipe by adding chocolate chips. This is such a simple way to put a spin on this recipe. My kids love when I add chocolate chips to turn this into a treat.
