A Week of Painting Bookcases & Homemade Food
Hi friend, hope its been a good week!
I’ve still been working away on the bookcases, but I finally made a decision on the paint color and I love it. I went with Sherwin-Williams Pewter Green, and it’s exactly what I was hoping for. It’s a beautiful moody green with just a touch of blue and gray. It feels rich without being too dark. After all that back and forth over green paint, I’m so happy with where we landed! I can’t wait to start filling the shelves with books.
I’ve also been spending a lot of time in the kitchen lately. I’ve been trying to get our grocery spending back down, which has meant meal planning more intentionally and cooking a lot from scratch. It takes more work (+ all.the.dishes), but there’s something really satisfying about seeing how much good food we can make at home while spending less. Because with homeschooling 5 kids, I am THE lunch lady around here. I am really feeling it these days.
I shared more about exactly what I’m doing in my Weekly Meal Planning + Prep if you’d like to follow along. I’m keeping it really simple… planning ahead, using what we have, and finding little ways to make feeding our family more affordable without making meals complicated.
